Baby Daddy is a slang term used to refer to the biological father of a persons child. It is typically used in informal settings and can sometimes carry negative connotations.

This term is commonly used in African American Vernacular English (AAVE) and urban culture. It is often used to describe an absent or unreliable father who is not actively involved in the upbringing of their child. However, it can also be used in a more neutral or casual manner to simply refer to the father of one’s child without any negative connotations.

Example 1:
“Sarah’s baby daddy hasn’t been around since the child was born. She’s been raising their daughter on her own.”

Example 2:
Tom is my ex-boyfriend, but he’s still involved as my baby daddy. We co-parent our son and have a good relationship.”

Synonyms:
father, dad, papa, daddy, pop, poppa, old man
