In a more detailed description, “baboso” can be used to describe a person who is gullible and falls for tricks or scams easily. It can also be used to mock someone who acts foolishly or behaves in a silly manner, often lacking common sense or wisdom.

Example 1: No seas tan baboso, no le prestes dinero a alguien que apenas conoces. (Don’t be so foolish, don’t lend money to someone you barely know.)

Example 2: Mi amigo siempre hace cosas babosas; siempre cae en las mismas trampas. (My friend always does foolish things; he always falls for the same traps.)
