Afaik stands for “as far as I know” and is used to indicate that the information being shared is based on the speaker’s current knowledge, which may not be complete or entirely accurate. It is often used to express uncertainty or to provide a disclaimer before sharing information.
Example 1: Afaik, the concert is scheduled for tomorrow, but there hasn’t been any official announcement yet.
Example 2: Afaik, she quit her job last month and is now traveling, but I’m not completely sure of her current whereabouts.
