The internet slang term “veer” is used to describe the action of changing topics or shifting directions in a conversation abruptly or unexpectedly.

Examples:
1. In a group chat conversation:

– Person A: “Have you guys seen the new movie?”

– Person B: “Yeah, it was great! By the way, did you hear about the new restaurant in town?”

– Person C: “Wait, veer alert! Can we go back to discussing the movie first?”

2. On a forum discussion thread:

User 1: “Im having trouble with this math problem. Can anyone help?”

– User 2: “Sure, what specifically are you struggling with?”

– User 3: “Veer warning! What’s your favorite subject in school?”
