Throw Someone Under The Bus” is an internet slang term used to describe the act of blaming or betraying someone in order to save oneself or avoid personal responsibility. It refers to the act of sacrificing someone else’s reputation, trust, or well-being for one’s own gain or protection.

Examples:
1. When the team project failed, instead of taking responsibility for his mistakes, Mark threw his colleague under the bus by claiming it was entirely their fault.
2. Sarah didn’t want to get in trouble for missing the deadline, so she threw her assistant under the bus by telling their boss that it was their fault for the delay, even though Sarah was responsible for giving clear instructions.
