Tailgating is an internet slang term used to describe the act of someone closely following another person on social media platforms by consistently liking, commenting, or engaging with their posts. It refers to the behavior of “riding someone’s tail” on the internet, similar to tailgating in real-life traffic.

Examples:

1. Sarah can’t stop tailgating John on Instagram. She always likes his pictures within seconds of him posting them and leaves flirty comments.

2. Mark noticed that someone started tailgating him on Twitter. They retweet and reply to every tweet he makes, often copying his phrases and ideas.

Tailgating involves constantly keeping up with someone’s posts and interactions on social media platforms.
It can include activities like liking posts, commenting, sharing, or even copying their content.
