Playing House – This internet slang term refers to the act of pretending to be in a serious or committed relationship. It is often used when someone is pretending to be in a romantic partnership, emulating the actions, behaviors, or responsibilities of a couple without actually being in a real relationship.

Example 1:
Person A: “Did you hear about Sarah and John? They’ve been spending all their time together lately.”
Person B: “Yeah, but I don’t think they’re dating. They’re just playing house.”

Example 2:
Person A: “Joey keeps posting pictures with that new girl. Are they an item now?”
Person B: “Nah, they’re just playing house. They act like they’re together, but it’s all for show.”
