Paranoia is an internet slang term used to describe a state of excessive suspicion or fear of being watched or monitored online. It refers to a feeling of unease due to the belief that someone or something is constantly observing or spying on your activities on the internet.

Examples:
1. After a series of unsettling incidents online, Sarah developed a case of online paranoia. She became convinced that hackers were constantly trying to access her personal information, causing her to double-check her security settings and change her passwords regularly.

2. Jake’s extreme paranoia made him think that his every online move was being tracked by the government. He started using anonymous browsing and encryption tools to protect his privacy, even though he had no evidence to support his fears.
