DND stands for “Do Not Disturb.” It is an internet slang term/abbreviation commonly used to indicate that someone does not want to be bothered or interrupted.

Examples:

1.

Person A: Hey, are you busy right now? I need your help with something.

Person B: Sorry, I’m in DND mode at the moment. Can we talk later?

2.

Friend A: Are you up for a video game session tonight?

Friend B: Not tonight, I have an important deadline to meet. Putting myself on DND to avoid distractions.
