The slang term “Bravo-Six, Going Dark” refers to a phrase commonly used in video games and military-themed media to indicate that a player or character is preparing to covertly move or engage in stealth mode.

This phrase is often used in scenarios where a person or team needs to silently infiltrate or extract from a location without being detected. It implies that they are cutting off all communication and concealing their location to achieve their objectives without alerting any potential adversaries.

Example 1: As the enemy patrols were getting closer, the squad leader radioed in, “Bravo-Six, Going Dark.” The team members quickly switched off their radios and proceeded to move silently into the darkness, leaving no trace behind.

Example 2: In the final mission of the game, the protagonist receives a mission briefing stating, “Bravo-Six, Going Dark. Your objective is to eliminate the target and extract without detection. Use stealth and silenced weapons only.” The player must then navigate the level without being noticed by the enemy.
