The slang term “*67” refers to a feature on telephone systems that allows the caller to block their phone number from appearing on the recipient’s caller ID.

When someone dials *67 before making a call, it hides their phone number from the person they are calling. This feature is commonly used in situations where the caller wants to maintain their privacy or keep their identity anonymous.

Example 1: I wanted to surprise my friend with a prank call, so I dialed *67 before calling her number. That way, she wouldn’t be able to see who was calling her.
Example 2: When I needed to make an important business call, I used *67 to prevent the recipient from seeing my personal phone number. It allowed me to maintain a level of professionalism and privacy during the conversation.
